Club History

 

19. March 2009 - Randers Australian Football Club is founded. The team will be playing in the local Jutland 9's league, and is feeding players into the combined team "Jutland Shinboners", playing in the DAFL Premierleague.

 

12. May 2009 - Randers Dockers play their first game ever in the Jutland 9's league, winning a home game against Aarhus Bombers 110 - 91. This was the first time the Randers Dockers Oval was used for an official game.

 

Season 2009 -

Jutland shinboners end nr. 5 of 6 in DAFL Premier League.

Randers Dockers win the Jutland 9's League.

 

29. January 2010 - Randers Dockers become Fremantle Dockers's Official Partner Club.

 

Season 2010 -

Jutland Shinboners end nr. 5 of 6 in DAFL Premier League.

Randers Dockers played once against Århus Bombers and Aalborg Kangaroos,

one win one loss.

In August Randers Dockers had three players (Jan Petersen, Jonas Starbæk, Jens Djernes) in the National Team ending 2nd at the European Championships 2010 in Copenhagen/Malmø.

 

6. March 2011 - Randers Dockers players Jonas Starbæk Nielsen and Jens Djernes are selected for the U23 European Legion, playing against the U18 AIS/AFL Academy in London on 23. april 2011.

 

 

What? »

Australian Rules Football has been played in Denmark since 1991, and now as well in Randers. We need all the support we can get. Come out and try a new, fast and exciting sport.

 

Fremantle Dockers »

On the 29th of January 2010 Fremantle Dockers chose to take in Randers Dockers as their Official Partner Club in Denmark. They are providing the team with guernseys, shorts, socks and balls, to help the club develop. Therefore we have fully professional equipment for training and games.
